COMMISSION PROCESS
I will only accept commission requests done by email. Other platforms will not be accepted to avoid being scammed :) .
To make a commission request, please send an email to [email protected] with:- Subject line: "Commission - your name/username ”
- Name/Username: (Instagram handle or real name)
- Contact Info: (If you have any other form of contact)
- Confirm: "I have read and agreed to the Terms of Service."
- Your PayPal emailIn your email include:
- A detailed description of the commission type and quantity: (ex: 1 full colour rendered bust, etc...)
- Include as many text references and photo references (personality, preferred pose, colour hair, character name, etc.)Delivery time will be 2-3 weeks. Certain cases may be extended to over 3 weeks due to unforeseen circumstances (communication will happen regardless if this happens).
Communication will likely be via email as I'm not frequently on Instagram/Twitter.In the case I haven't gotten back to you within a few days, please DM us on our Instagram and let us know.
Terms of Service
Please don't let these Terms intimidate you. At most, these are guidelines and basic rules with the commission process that I would prefer to have in writing.
General
- I retain all rights to the artwork
- Visual references should be provided
- Strict NO REFUND policyCopyright and Usage
By commissioning the artist, the client is only purchasing the artist’s labor.
- I, as the artist, retain and own all rights to the commission, which includes the right to distribute, reproduce, or use the commissioned piece as an example for self-promotion unless discussed upon.
- The client may NOT copy / edit / redistribute / profit / claim the commissioned piece without my expressed written permission or as agreed upon in the commission prior to start of work.
- I, as the artist, also retain full copyright for any preliminary designs and incidental works made in the creation of the commission, unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Unless discussed, all commissions are assumed to be for personal use, NOT commercial use.
- The client may display the commission publicly as long as proper credits are prominently displayed (@_milksc).- I, as the artist, may use any images of the commission for promotional purposes, unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Do not use any part of the commission or my artwork for NFT and AI image generators. In addition, the use of the artwork for any advertising or profits associated with NFT, blockchains, cryptocurrency, AI programs or future inventions of the subject is strictly prohibited. If carried through, client is permanently prohibited from commissioning again in the future.Payment
- 100% upfront payment via PayPal invoice (must be in CAD).
- All invoices are due within 7 days, unless agreed otherwise. Invoices past the due date will be cancelled, also cancelling the commission associated with it.
- The commission will not be started until the agreed payment of 100% the amount has been received.
- Strictly NO refund once I've started working on the sketch. Negotiations over a partial refund can happen after the final delivery of the commission.Decline of Offer and Cancellation of Commission
- I have the right to refuse any commission request, without needing to explain the reason (however, I will likely explain the reason for decline out of courtesy).
- I reserve the right to stop work on a commission, or cancel a commission request due to poor communication, rude/inappropriate behavior, an inability to effectively communicate in the English language, or a breach of these Terms of Service.Deadlines and Flexibility
I will NOT take on commissions that have:
a) strict or short deadlines; and
b) if the client is not flexible on deadlines.
- I will, to the best of my ability, give a general indication of how long the commission will take to complete, and when the client can expect to receive the finished product prior to the start of work.
- I will inform the client regularly of the comission progress (including photos) or if changes to completion times have occurred if they ask.
- I am not obliged to explain the reasoning behind extensions or delays for the completion of a commission, but will often do so out of courtesy.Commission Description
- The client must specify the content of their commission to the best of their ability prior to a commission agreement.
- A complex commission will incur additional illustration fees, to be defined and agreed upon in the commission agreement prior to start of work.
- All prices are as a guide only and may not represent the final price of a particular commission.
- Prices may rise, both to co-ordinate with economical inflation and be fairly representative of my art. I will not accept any clients that haggle over the prices.
- The client is responsible for ensuring that their contact details are true and correct.
